Who Me, Not Me?

In my house I have a middle child, are you scratching your heads and saying doesn't she have two boys, well, not really because it is this child my middle one that is my forgetful one. You see whenever I ask my boys if they did something it's always "Not Me"that did it, did you break the glass, answer Not Me, Who ate the last cookie, answer "Not Me"..which one of you forgot to throw out the garbage..answer "Not Me" so we dubbed "Not Me" our middle child since it is always "Not Me" that does it...lol I decided to merge again and use three images this time the first one Who me which you can find HERE throwing a snowball at his little brother who is having the time of his life playing in the snow. Look at his face, it is comical, really a perfect expression of Who Me? The other two Kai in the Snow you can find HERE and The Snowman HERE
and of course my angle shot:

I hope I inspired someone to join in on the fun, I can't wait to see what you come up with, just don't for get to use one of Mo's images. If you need more inspiration don't forget to visit the rest of the teams blogs they really out did themselves and came up with some great ideas just click HERE to see what they came up with and as Pat always says, don't forget to leave them a little love.

Aloha

My father worked for American Airlines, and with working for an airline comes privlidges.  So as teenagers, we got to travel to many places. We would have to go stand by, but we didn't care, we would just pack up our bags and go, and what ever flight had room is where we'd end up. One time we tried for Italy and ended up in Switzerland. This was the way we traveled, and I kind of got used to it. I just wish I took advantage of more than I did,  but at least my parents did.

Anyway, this little sweetie reminded me of my trip to Hawaii and the fun we had on our little "adventure". You see, my Mom came up with this bright idea that since we were already half-way there, let's visit Australia. So my Dad calls up and books us on the next flight out. Only problem, we had summer clothes, and it was winter there... So it wasn't a well thought out plan on my Mother's part,, so we literally stayed for two nights and then flew back to sunny Hawaii, where I hope to go again some day. I used this little hula dancer called Kalei that you can find HERE

Baby Blankets

As you guys know, I have tons and tons of babies on the way, some family, some friends,.  So I have been busy knitting away making baby blankets.

The first one is for my Assistant Principal.  Her daughter's shower was on May 6th, this is her first

The basket includes the blanket, a book, a bear and a hat:

and the second one is for Diana  my sisters niece whom I've known since she was a baby.  It is her first.  Her shower was on May 12th.

This one was a labor of love since it was lots and lots of squares (49 of them to be exact), and lots and lots of sewing together and of course.  Anyway, the original pattern did not have an edging on it, but since to me needed a little something, I single crocheted around the whole thing twice and then did the picot edging and this is the end result.

and of course I had to make a matching hat.  I love these hats

Working on two more blankets as we speak so those should be posted shortly, and will start another two when they are done.  Told you ladies... Lots of babies on the way..  Glad I have the summer off!!! and yes it's that time of year, I am  counting the days!!!!  Woo Hoo!!!!

As always, thanks for stopping by my part of the world, now that you are here, I would love hearing from you, your comments mean so much

Laura...It's Your Turn

I decided to use Aunt Flo and send this card to my wonderful sister to let her know that "Mom" is coming to live with her.  After all she's lived downstairs from me for about 11 years, and even though there are 9 floors between us she can drive you CRAZY!!!! so  I think it's her turn, ..lol...  My sister is clueless...Love you Laura, but you have no idea.   So I am packing up Mom's bags and shipping her up you dear sweet sister of mine...Especially since you two get along so well....Oh and by the way,  it's a one way fare so you can't send her back...

Anyway, the real reason for this card is because my nephews wife my niece (Love you Jenn)  is going to do the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in September in honor of my sister who is a  breast cancer survivor.. It is a 2 day walk throughout the city and you sleep in tents.  When you sign on to do this walk, you must commit to something like $1,800.00 which is a large sum of money.  If you don't raise the specified amount it comes out of your pocket. She needed $100 more, so I asked my sister to pledge it for me and am sending her the check in this card.

So after all that is said and done.. Here is my card.  Sorry it is a little dark, but it has been dark and gloomy in New York and it  was late and had to get it mailed to her the next day along with a baby blanket which I will show pictures on a  later date.
