Another Cadbury Box with Matching Card

Well, now that I gave everyone the measurements for the last one, I was able to make this one in no time flat. What took me a few hours on Tuesday since it was trial and error and more errors than trials...lol now ony took a matter of one, two, three to cut and score the basic shape for the box. I also learned to place the DP directly on the card stock, then score!!!! Much easier that way..

The Box

The inside of the card:

This one is for my son's girlfriend so one down and two more to go..I think my boys would be disappointed if I didn't make them something from the Easter Bunny..lol

I am entering this into the following challenge(s)

Cadbury Creme Egg Box!!!

I have been waiting patiently for these images to arrive, I ordered them hoping they would arrive in time for Easter... And they DID!!!! I immediately inked him up and made this adorable box for my little niece.

As soon as I saw the Cadbury box, I knew I wanted to make one of these boxes but I had to change the measurements since the Cadbury Box is 1 1/2" tall. My measurements are as follows: 12 long x 5 1/2 wide, I scored at 1/4" 4 1/2", 6" and 10 1/4". Hope this makes sense. The first score at 1/4" is the lip, and the last score at 10 1/4" is the part that will hold the Cadbury Creme Egg box, that part folds up, the 1/4" folds down. I did not know how to hold the ribbon, So I used these brads I've had for ages to secure the ribbon, I have one on the front, one on the spine and one on the side.

The inside of the Box:

The spine. Ok, a little off with the brad, but hey, that's what makes it handmade..

This fits the following challenge:
Cooking it Up With Katie It has some pink, it has flowers, and it is for a little lady

Tilda all in Pink

This is a commissioned card done for one of my yoga buddies. She asked me to make a card for her five year old grand daughter using pinks. So I used papers from Stampin Up and the Mermaid Tilda from last years Summer collection. I have to say, this is one set that I use over and over again. I still have to make another Mermaid card for my sons girlfriends niece. So hope you don't get tired of this image since you will proably see it again. I promise I'll do something different. This time, I used an older sketch from Friday Sketchers. Told you I love those sketches and use them over and over again. I also took out my Cricut and used the Animal Kingdom cartridge cutting the fish bowl at 4" and followed this theme both inside and out.

For the inside of the card. I used a leftover sticker from Jolee's

I used a shell from the Recollections Collection, I knew I wanted to use this as a focal point for my flowers

This week the theme is Pretty in Pink so I decided to use my Doodlebug Design papers called Cupcake Boutique which were perfect for the challenge. I first printed the image on computer paper, then taped the design paper onto the image, placed it back into the printer and reprinted it so that I was able to paper piece her clothes.
