It was just a matter of time before I put it to paper, so once I saw this sketch I knew it was time to dig him out and put him to good use.

House Mouse Challenge 47-White on White

This was done for the House Mouse Challege which was to make a card using white on white. We were only allowed to color our image, everything else had to be white. It was opposite of last weeks challenge which I struggled with. Well, since Carolyn said it was easy, I gave it a try, and it was. I love this stamp, I have used it so many times for so many different occassions, only changing the wording. I also used pre-embossed cards from DCWV which is another one of my favorites for a quick and easy card base.

Stamp: Stampabilities: Amanda Writes, Sentiment from Penny Black
Extras: Nesties, White flowers, MS Branch Punch, Sizzix Die Swirls, Self Adhesive Pearls,

Image Colored with Copics: G20-Wax White, G24-Willow, E33-Sand, YR000-Silk, R000Cherry White, R39-Garnet,B60-Pale Blue Grey

Simon Says Paper Piece

Can you believe after being absent for so long, I have been able to do 3 challenges this week. Believe me, I need all the relaxing I can get lately and boy does stamping help me relax.

This card was done for the Simon Says Challenge which is to paper piece. I used the same background paper for the glasses and inner tube of the shark, and then stamped it again on real red cutting out the polka dots and then paper pieced those onto the inner tube trying to pick up the red of the background of the fish bowl. It is also one of the few times I have combined my cricut and stamping onto a card. I also stippled the inside of the Fish Bowl to create some sand and water.

This adorable shark is from Whippersnapper Designs and I couldn't wait to ink him up. This card is intended for my son who will turn 19 on Tuesday. Do I really have a son who will be 19. Not sure if I will use it, or give it to my younger son to give him, but he doesn't feel his big brother deserves it.

Stamp: Whippersnapper - Shark, SU-Circle of Friends
Paper: Designer Paper from Anna Griffin Alix Collection, SU papers include Real Red Brillant Blue, and white
Ink: Momento Black Ink, SU-Brillant Blue, Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Creamy Carmel
Extras: Cricut-Animal Cartridge Fish Bowl cut at 3 1/2", Fish Brads,1" Circle Punch, Jolee's Crab sticker..

Thanks for looking and hope you like it..

HM Challenge #45-It Must "Bee" Spring

I know it has been awhile since my last post..so much going on haven't had time to even blog hop, so I apologize for not being able to keep up with everyones lovely creations. I want to thank everyone that have been saying prayers for my BIL, he is still in ICU and getting a little better every day. It has been baby steps, but he's getting a little stronger every day. He's still not breathing on his own but is off dialysis and opened his eyes today for the first time in 2 weeks.

This was done for the House Mouse Challenge which is to choose a season for our inspiration. So for my first House Mouse Challenge I decided to do a Spring card using bee's since bee's always remind me of Spring. I also tried the 3D affect by using last weeks challenge of tole.
