Future Riverdancer

This week, it is Sheila's turn to host our challenge at Mo's, and she decided for us to use lace. How easy is that!!!! So lace it is. I always think of the beautiful Irish lace that my girlfriend has from her mother and grandmother, you know the good stuff from Ireland. Every year I make her a St. Patrick's Day card and every year she brings me hot Irish Soda Bread right out of the oven. OMG!!! Mouth watering... I slab on the butter and I am in heaven. This year I decided to make her a card using this adorable image called Little Irish Dancer that you can find HERE and HERE.

I also need to thank my DT sister Paola for the wonderful Gold color on the end of her dress, I didn't know what color to do and she suggested gold, and then rattled off the copics. I must say it really popped her dress. So thanks Paola, What would I do without you?

Now, with all the shows I've seen on Broadway and off Broadway, I've never seen Riverdance The Irish Step Dancers who remind me of this "Little Irish Dancer" who is doing the jig. They have played at Radio City Music Hall in the past. Hopefully they will be back again so that I do get to see them, and by hook or by crook even if I have to go by myself I am going to see them. But at least I am Broadway bound again tomorrow to see Porgy and Bess. Really looking forward to that and of course my 3 course diner at AJ Maxwell's.

Here is an image of the card:

BINGO no I mean TANGO!!!!

As many of you know, I work for a school, one of my responsibilities is to put in permits which is when the building is going to be open after the kids are dismissed. Sometimes we have parent involvement activities and one of them is Bingo. No money involved but prizes. So I put in my permit and the next day it gets rejected, so I call downtown to find out why and they say that it is a form of gambling (for years I put them in as Bingo so I was baffled). So now we call it "Game Night". About a month later I go to another schools fund raiser. This one is in a restaurant, but because it is Bingo and the new rules we can't yell out Bingo, so they changed the first two letters of the cards to spell out the word Tango and we played Tango all night. We start to yell Bingo and then say "No Tango"..lol I must say we all had a great time.

Ok now on to my card, Sheila choose the theme this week, and I really loved the theme. So I must say great choice Sheila!!!! I decided to use Sunday's Child which you can find HERE. I thought she was perfect for this card. Looks like she just won right? Once again I used one of the postcards that I found on the esty shop Iralijma Shop this is the one that started it all. This was the first one I purchased and of course it fit perfectly into this weeks theme. They are digital down loads and you can find it HERE along with all her other postcards.

Bottle Cozies - GO GIANTS!!!!!!

Please don't forget to scroll down and see my earlier posts.

As a New Yorker, and a HUGE Giant Fan, you know I am routing for the Giants today. And in honor of the game, I made these cozies for the big game. The first pair I sent to my niece and nephew who are die heart fans. They had there engagement photo's and a video taken at Giant Stadium. They were truly spectacular. The photographer was amazing. I cried when I saw the video. So when I saw these Team Spirt Bottle Cozies I had to make them and send them to them.

For the life of me, I could not understand the last part of the pattern which was the sleeves so what should have taken an hour was taking for ever so I kept frogging (ripping) so after struggling I decided to make my own sleeves and this is my version. After that I was whippinig them out and made about 10. I still think they came out great...

The pattern can be found HERE

We are not beer drinkers, so they do fit smaller bottles better, I just wanted to take a picture on a bottle, If I was going to actually make one for this bottle, I would have made it a little longer, but I am sure you get the drift.

As always, thanks for visiting.

For YouWith Love Part II

Our theme this week is Anything Goes. I love Anything Goes challenges cause it gives me a chance to spread my wings. Now you can follow the sketch if you want by our ever so talented Iulia or like me you can just do what ever you want as long as it includes a Mo's digital image. It's Anything Goes, so the skies the limit!!

As you know, last week I made a book for my son's girlfriend for Valentine's Day I used Ragged Romeo which you can find HERE. Well I wasn't done, I also decided to make her a matching candle, another thing that I've been wanting to try since I saw my DT sister Elaine make one awhile back you can check hers out HERE. They really are easy to make, and as she said, remember to make your image darker than you normally would. If like me you are visual, just go to You Tube and type in Stamping on Candles. Very helpful

Here is the Candle:

The entire project book closed:

Book Open:

I had so much fun making the candles that I had to make another one for one of the teachers I work with who loves angels. So I asked her what her favorite colors are and she said pink and green, so Tina, this one's for you and this image is called Sending Peace and you can find her HERE
