Happy Birthday Stupid

Now for those of you who follow my blog, you know about my sister and her antics. Her bunny ears in pictures, and how when we were little she always got me in trouble. Hey isn't that what big sister's do. But no matter what I still love her. As soon as I saw this image at Sassy Cheryl called Very Sassy Opinion which you can find HERE, I knew it was perfect for her and this is why. When we were little, she told me that when she stuck out her tongue it meant she was calling me stupid. So there we were sitting at the table eating diner and it was nice and quite and what do you think my sister does.. You got it, she sticks out her tongue. So I say "Ma, Laura called me stupid" to which my Mom says, Laura didn't say anything stop trying to get your sister in trouble.. So she does it again, and I say "Laura called me stupid again" then you see that smirk...you know that smirk...Ha Ha I got you in trouble. This went on for a few days before my mother caught on.. then guess who got in trouble... So Laura my sweet and loving sister..Happy Birthday... I love you and this card is for you.. I went for the vintage look because I found these gorgeous digital collages at an Etsy shop called

Feel Better Anna

Ok Pat, What's up with the stitching? Although I have my sewing machine near me in the dining room. It has collected dust just like it did when it was in the closet, but at least I took it out of the closet. One of these days, I'll actually sew on a card, I really do love how it looks but for now, yes ladies I cheated and used these gorgeous papers I found at Micheal's that already have "Real" stitching on them. Hey, if the shoe fits, well you know the rest of the saying.

I decided to make this card and alter this book for one of the teachers I work with who was diagnosed with breast cancer and just had a mastectomy. She went every year for her mammogram so it came quite as a shock. This nurse is perfect for a get well card and you can find her HERE

I also found this book at Michael's, and I love altering them and of course went back for a couple more. Hey they were only $1.50 and make such a nice gift.

So here is a picture of the Book:

Plain and Simple..Don't know what you were thinking about Pat...Not one of my forte's especially since that means no flowers or frills. Guess I have to make a masculine card and what better image than this one called Paul Texting which you can find HERE which in my opinion is perfect for that teen age boy.
