Ok Pat, What's up with the stitching? Although I have my sewing machine near me in the dining room. It has collected dust just like it did when it was in the closet, but at least I took it out of the closet. One of these days, I'll actually sew on a card, I really do love how it looks but for now, yes ladies I cheated and used these gorgeous papers I found at Micheal's that already have "Real" stitching on them. Hey, if the shoe fits, well you know the rest of the saying.
I decided to make this card and alter this book for one of the teachers I work with who was diagnosed with breast cancer and just had a mastectomy. She went every year for her mammogram so it came quite as a shock. This nurse is perfect for a get well card and you can find her
HEREI also found this book at Michael's, and I love altering them and of course went back for a couple more. Hey they were only $1.50 and make such a nice gift.
So here is a picture of the Book:

And of course my angle shot:
I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which you can find
HERE and the ribbon from The Ribbon Girl which you can find
