My Favorite Project(s)...

The design team will be taking a little break with the holidays around the corner.  So we decided to pick our favorite Mo card that we created over the past year.  Let me tell you, what a hard decision  that was for me, with so many projects to pick from this year, and so many adorable images I decided to go with 2 of my favorites.. I told you it was hard.

But first and foremost, I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday, and a Happy and Healthy New Year.  May all your hopes and dreams come true.

and here goes....

Above is a gift set I made for a friend
and below is just a card that I made

As always thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods, and visiting me.  Your comments mean the world to me and always mean so much.

You're So Funny!!!

Well this week it's my turn to be the hostess, and I thought I would do something simple since many of Mo's images include animals. She also has some adorable fairy "Bugs"..  who can resist that little bee or ladybug… so  I thought of the Song I went to the Animal Fair, the Birds and Bees were there and that is how I came up with  this weeks theme.

So for my card this week I am making a little girl a birthday card and thought the image So Funny would be perfect for her. I can hear Grandpa telling her a funny story right now and she's say.. You're So Funny Grandpa You can find this adorable image right HERE

Get Well Goodie Bag

Well, once again it's Thursday, the days are just flying by.. I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving already.  And yes ladies, I'm cooking ...lol  and before we know it, it will be Christmas and no, I don't have any Christmas shopping done.   This week it's Cathy's  turn to be our host and she decided to have us make something other than a card.  Well once again I procrastinated and waited till the last minute and had to come up with something quick so what to do, what to do.  Then the light bulb went off and I though why not make good ole Althea a get well  goodie bag and fill it with some stuff that she likes to make her feel good.. Sounds crazy but she LOVES socks, She has to get 3 root canals (so no chocolate this time) so they have to cut her gums so needless to say, she's not a happy camper and is in lots of  pain.   Through all this she's still taking care of my hubby with a smile on her face.  So I will leave this little goodie bag on the table for her so she's surprised when she comes in since I will already be at work. She always says she never felt the love like she does when shes in my home.

Anyway, back to my Get Well Bag filled with lots of socks  Here Goes  I used Bernard which you can find :

Well another month has gone by and before we know it we'll be carving the turkey and be trimming the tree.  Since it's the beginning of the month that means that It's Anything Goes at Mo's.  So it's nice and easy once again.  As I say, the skies the limit just remember to use one of Mo's adorable images and you're good to go.

As for me, I decided to make something simple this week and go with a plain old picture and use these  adorable animals called Coexist which feature a dog, cat and bird so happy together.  You can find these adorable creatures right HERE

What's Black and White and Red All Over

This week, it's my turn to be the hostess and since it's Halloween, I decided that I'd do a Halloween/Fantasy theme to close out the month and with my love of all of Mo's fairies how could I resist using one of her fairies to represent the fantasy end of the spectrum.  This is one fairy that I don't know why   took me so long to add to my collection.  I had Fairy 2 and Fairy 3 for quite some time but what took me so long to just add Fairy 1 to my collection anyway you can find her   HERE.

This is the Honey Cowl that I knit for Pat as a special thank for treating me so special when she was in New York. She spoiled me rotten and I loved every minute we spent together. I truly treasure her friendship and am truly  blessed to have her in my life.  It is one of two scarves that I knit for her as my way of saying thank you.  This is the first one which she knew about since she  picked it, the other is a surprise and will be posted at a later date.  Both are done, but I just can't post it yet since she hasn't received it yet.   So Pleeeeease forgive me for this Thank You taking me just a little bit longer than anticipated.

For the Boys

This week it's our ever so talented team mate Anja's turn to pick our theme and she decided to have us make a card for the boys in our lives.  Well that's easy for me since there is a lot of testostorone in my neck of the woods.   You see, in the Lanci Family, it's practically all boys.. My husband comes from a house of 3 other brothers, his brothers all had sons except one so out of the 8 Grandkids there is only one girl who is the oldest.  They are now having children of there own and out of the great grands there is also only one girl but we tease since it is not a Lanci... but the Lanci boys are having boys....So making boy cards for my nephews is nothing new. We also tease that when my boys get married and have children they are the ones that are going to have the girls since the streak has to stop somewhere.  But anyway since I am making Halloween cards I decided to use this adorable new little image from Mo called Zombified which is perfect for one of the little men in my life or one of the big men in my life since there are so many..lol.  You can find this adorable little zombie right ..

Well it's the beginning of September and this week it's Anything Goes at Mo's.  So since I am back at work after a two month absence I am pooped to say the least.  That alarm clock going off at 4:30 in the morning is not pleasant to say the least.  So I decided to keep it simple this week at make a tag for a baby blanket that I made for my Assistant Principal's granddaughter.Which I must say I finished  just in the nick of time because the baby was due in September and I put in the last stich on FridayAugust 30th  and the baby was just a tad early and was born August 30th as well.

It's Time for an Adventure

Well once again it's Thursday so it's time for our weekly challenge at Mo's and our ever so talented Pat has decided to do a Birthday theme wonder if it because today is her birthday!!! Happy Birthday Pat.  A great challenge since we can always use a birthday card. Since it was my sons birthday on the 17th, and it was my BIL's birthday last week as well, this is the card I made  for my BIL using Adventure Guy that you can find HERE.    He is just so cute.  Now that I made it, it would have been perfect for my son since we always went on adventures when they were small.  We never would tell them ahead of time where we were going, we would just stick them in the car and go.  They always knew it was special since when they got in the car we would tell them we were going on an adventure.  This way if one of them got sick as kids always do they would never be disappointed or nag us for weeks on end about an upcoming event.  So anyway here is my card for this weeks challenge for Birthdays.  Hope you like it, and hope you join in on the fun.

Waiting For Rain.. Well Not Really

This week our talented teamie  Tracy  has decided to go with a water theme.     Now you can go anywhere with a water theme Just think about it.  The beach, rain, umbrella's,  the garden you know watering the plants, boats, sailors, hey they're on boats which are in the water... I like to stretch things.  so the sky is the limit, just use your imagination.  I personally couldn't resist this adorable image called "Waiting For Rain".  She has her raincoat on and her little sailboat  in her hand just wait for the rain and the puddles to form so she can set that sailboat in to play away.  What is it about kids and puddles, they just have to jump right in as soon as they see one.  I know my kids did.   Now as adults, we jump over them hoping not to miss and get soaking wet...lol

Well anyway here is my card, for my dear friend who has a birthday coming up very soon.  Hum  do you think she'll be surprised when she see's it especially since it has her name on it and I know she will see it on my blog.  If you do sweet cakes just act surprised when you get it in the mail.

Under the Sea

This week my talented team mate Tine  choose the color Turquoise.. and since that  color always reminds me of the beautiful sea I thought I would use that for my son Aldo's birthday card since it reminded me of the time we went snorkeling in Bermuda many years ago.   I'll never forget how excited he got when he saw the fish and how he tried telling us while his face was still in the water.  So this is the card I made for his  birthday.

Gotta Love Them No Matter What...

This week it's Anja's turn and she thought it would be a good idea to "Celebrate Love", and I thought I would do a little twist on the subject.  Cause no matter what our kids do, we gotta love them, even when they throw temper tantrums and look like this.  So I thought I would merge Patty with two of  the cry babies and you can find these adorable images right

HERE and HERE

And if good ole Patty in the back were a boy it would be my son Aldo to a tee cause when he would get mad and didn't get his way that is exactly what he would do with his hands and put on that exact face.  But no matter what  I still Love him and no matter how much mischief they get into and no matter how many heart attacks they give us we still love them.  This weekend is his birthday and he will be 23, and after a freak accident a few days ago,  I am lucky to have him around!!!!

"F" Is For "Fairy

Well if the First Thursday of the Month and here at Mo's we decided to shake things up a little bit and continue with our alphabet theme and we are up to the letter "F". With that said and done, knowing me and my love for ALL of Mo's Fairies, you know where that is going  for me.

My husbands aide Althea loved the gift box I made earlier. So when she  asked me to make her one for a baby shower she is going to at the end of the month I new I had to use Baby Fairy Sipping which is a set of 3 adorable baby faries  and you can find this cutie patootie right .
HERE along with the other two cutie patooties.

Of Course I surprised her and  made her a matching card to go along with the little gift box.  So I made a gate fold card and placed  matching band around it, just to make it a little different.

Children's Challenge and Anything Goes

Wow, it's now June and it's our special children's challenge at Mo's.  I am so excited to see what the children have created.  I love walking around the halls at school to see what the many children in my school have created.  Since the ages range from 5 to 13 the art work varies.  I have tons of artwork on my file cabinet from a few kindergarten students that have touched my heart.  The smile on their face when they bring it to me and hang it up is priceless and it reminds me of the days when I hung  refrigerator art my kids came home with when they were that age.  I still have a few of those tucked away.

So if you have a child in your life that loves to craft, why not have them get involved and have them color an image and design a card using a Mo's image and enter in this weeks challenge to win a special prize from Mo.    Just remember to use a Mo's image and your good to go.

I have a baby shower to go to at the end of the month for my niece Jenn who is expecting her first baby at the end of August.  We know it is a girl and the entire theme is "Bees".  She has a thing for bees.  So that is why as soon as Mo  came out with this adorable little Bee Fairy it was a must have for me,  So of course I made her card using her and you can find her
HERE

The same thing happend when I saw the pattern for this Buzzy Bee Blanket.  As soon as I saw it I ordered the entire kit  and tucked it away.  It was ordered before they were even married knowing she loved bees  When  I found out she was pregnant I began to knit away.  This is a picture of the finished blanket.   Of course she will get a hat and booties, better get buzzy since the shower is on June 29th and I haven't started on those yet, but I am quite proud of the blanket and confindent that I will finsih those in time as well.

And last but not LeastNext...a little more progress
wait untill next weeks shots should be done

With next weekend being Memorial Day here in the states,it's the official day for the beaches to be open so  they are really trying to finish the job .  Here are a few more shots of the progress of
the dedicated men and women working

The above shot is them hoisting what I thought were the new bathrooms but someone else said it was the lifegurad stations.  I'm  the not sure if it's the new life gurard station or comfort station but what ever they are they are ugly and there are two of them side by side.  The bottom one is was taken a few days later and it's  the consession stand.  Last year it was the the bathrooms, lifegurad station and the consession.  I don't know who designed it, but it is hi-liter yellow!!!!!

They are working long long shifts to finish by this weekend so I will update
with more pictures next week as they hope to be finished.

I hope I inspired someone to join in on the fun, I can't wait to see what you come up with, just don't for get to use one of Mo's images.
