I made this card about 2 weeks ago, but never uploaded it because I did not want the person who it was intended for to see it before she got it. I've also been so busy not with work this time, but running back and forth to the hospital. My husband who has MS, was in the hospital for 8 days since he was unable to walk He was in so much pain poor guy. At first we thought it was his MS, but the MRI showed that it was not another MS exhasberation(which is a good thing), but unfortunatley on top of the MS he was also diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis which is what caused the pain. He was moved to a re-hab center on Tuesday and is now under going intense physical & occupational thearpy.
So anyway here is the card I made as a special Thank you..

A quick post for me today, so glad that I was able to get this card done. Still working tons of overtime so sometimes I start cards and they end up on the back burner and never make it..But anyway, I was determined to finish this so that I could up load it for the Whiff of Joy Challenge.. We had to follow Jane's sketch, and what a great sketch it was. Here is my take on the sketch..

A Mother's Work is Never Done-Just Magnolia
Such a true statement, I feel like it is never done. We start one thing and it always leads to another. Anyway, I thought I'd get a jump start on my Mothers Day's cards so I made this for my Mom. She is such a fan of Tilda's.

Copic Creations Challenge - Flowers
I've had this image for ages, and never inked him up til today. What was I waiting for, I have no idea but thought he'd be perfect for this Flower challenge..I also decided to pop up the daffodil since I had the mouse pad and the tole tool out. I remembered this idea from a House Mouse challenge way back in June. (see sometimes I remember things) Anyway, I went back to give credit where credit is due, and it was Heather that used this same image for the Paper Tole challenge. Glad I remembered about it especially since it was months and months ago...lol

Penny Black #95-Checks
This weeks challenge over at the Penny Black Blog is to use Checks, whether it's checkered paper, flowers, ribbon, it doesn't matter as long as you use checks and of course a Penny Black image on your card. I choose this checkered paper from Stampin Up along with all the coordinating papers.
I used the dirty rag technique to achieve the tiny spots on the frogs belly & on the flower..
Image: Jump for Joy
Paper: Stampin Up 6x6 Paper Pack, the paper with the holes is from K&Company
Extras: Pearl Spray, Prisma Flowers, SU-Ticket Corner Punch,MS Branch Punch Dimentionals, Self Adhesive Pearls
Image colored with copics: YG21, YG91, YG93, YG95, RV11, RV34

This is my 2nd tri-fold card, my first was for a House Mouse challenge a few weeks ago.I can see me using this technique again especially when my 16 year old son actually commented on it saying how much he loves these. You know kids especially boys, they never comment on anything..lol
Here it is slighly open:

First Communion
Someone asked me at work to make a Communion Card, So I used Confirmed Matthew from Whiff of Joy collection. I am hoping that she likes it. I did attempt to follow the receipe at the Challenge this week, but I kind of got carried away with the layers, and no buttons or ribbon, oh well back to the drawing board..
