This was a commissioned card for my yoga buddie who asked me to make this for her daughter who loves dogs, so I immediately thought of this image.

Fans Lucky Cricket

I love Mo's creations, and this little asian beauty was no exception. As soon as I saw saw her, it was a must have. This weeks challenge is monochromatic, For me, kind of hard, I thought and thought about what I could do, and then it hit me. I couldn't get home from work quick enough to put thought to paper...lol Once again I paper pieced the digi (her top) by first printing her out on computer paper and then taping the design paper over it putting it back in the printer and reprinting it

So with all that said and done, this is my take on the Monochrome theme over at Mo's.

This fits the following challenges:

Mo's Digital Pencil Monochromatic and Guest DT call

Cadbury Creme Egg Box!!!

I have been waiting patiently for these images to arrive, I ordered them hoping they would arrive in time for Easter... And they DID!!!! I immediately inked him up and made this adorable box for my little niece.

As soon as I saw the Cadbury box, I knew I wanted to make one of these boxes but I had to change the measurements since the Cadbury Box is 1 1/2" tall. My measurements are as follows: 12 long x 5 1/2 wide, I scored at 1/4" 4 1/2", 6" and 10 1/4". Hope this makes sense. The first score at 1/4" is the lip, and the last score at 10 1/4" is the part that will hold the Cadbury Creme Egg box, that part folds up, the 1/4" folds down. I did not know how to hold the ribbon, So I used these brads I've had for ages to secure the ribbon, I have one on the front, one on the spine and one on the side.

The inside of the Box:

The spine. Ok, a little off with the brad, but hey, that's what makes it handmade..

This fits the following challenge:
Cooking it Up With Katie It has some pink, it has flowers, and it is for a little lady
Cute Card ThursdayNo Text - Well hope it counts since it is on the inside not the outside

Oh Baby Bundle of Joy

This adorable digi image is from Mo's Digital Pencils This week it is Pat Franks turn to host the challenge and she choose babies. With so many pregnant teachers at work, one can never have enough baby cards. We average at least 5 every year and this year is no exception. I also followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers, where the new DT member Rach has given us a fabulous sketch to play with. So of course I had to play along.

I also did the lips and cheeks a little different this time, I used E93 Tea Rose for the lips then the cheeks going over the cheeks again with E00, I think it gave it a softer touch than the usual R20

I found the word Baby at believe it or not Targets. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to use it on an easel card. I held it in my hand and didn't want to put it down and dug and dug hoping to find another one, but alas, it was the last one that said Baby. I think I'll hit another Target, would love to find this in pink or blue, heck I'll even take another yellow even though it's not my favorite color to work with.

This also fits the following challenges:

Relaxing at the Lake-Copic Creations & Cute Card Thursday

Since I already had this set out, the papers out, and everything else out that I used yesterday, I thought I would put this card together. I thought that the image in the boat was pefect for the Copic Creations Challenge which is Reflections & that it would work perfectly with the Cute Card Thursday Sketch this week. I used my mirror image stamp and first stamped the boat which will be my reflection in the water, and then used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the image above the water so that I could line it up with the reflection. I then used my versa marker pen and carefully colored in the image that is above the water, put on Clear Embossing Powder and heat embossed so that when I brayered over it, it would not pick up any of the color. I did not do this for the reflection image since it is in the water, it does not have to be crisp & clean. After I brayerd soft sky, & Baja Breeze over the entire image, I sponged on Not Quite Navy to give it a little depth. This was also inspired by a tutorial given by Michelle Zindorf quite some time ago and glad I remembered it.

Image: SU-Summer by the Sea.
Papers: SU: Blueberry Crisp, Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy
Extras: Swirl Die Cut, MS Border Punch, Nellie Snellin Flower Punch, Rhinestones, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Distressed Stripes
Ink for Brayer: Soft Sky, Baja Breeze & Not Quite Navy

Cute Card Thursday-82-Spook Fest & Just Magnolia #27-Bright & Zingly

Wow, two challanges in one card.. I think this is a first. Over at Just Magnolia the theme is Bright & Zingy, well I think the greens are bright enough to cover that area, and over at Cute Card Thursday challenge # 82 is Spook Fest. So I used this adorable Tilda as my inspiration

The copics I used are above. Hopefully next time I'll get a clearer image, I'm trying and will get this right eventually, At least there not upside down this time
