Happy Anniversary Sweetheart
This is my second post of the day, so please scroll down and see my DT post for Creative Inspirations below.
It has been raining on and off all week here in New York, It has been dark, dreary, and the air is just plain old heavy. The fog rolls in from time to time and I must admit, it is fun to watch it roll in like that, but not fun to drive in it. It has been so bad, that I honestly can not even see the building across from me, nor the beautiful beach. When the weather gets like this, it triggers headaches. So all week long, I've had what I call a background headache and nothing would take it away. So sorry, that I didn't visit anyones blogs, I'll try and play catchup. Knowing how my headaches go, I knew it was only a matter of time before that background headache turned into a full blown migraine. So on Saturday, my fears came true, I couldn't even get out of bed till 1 o'clock.
Late in the afternoon or not, my anniversary was the next day, I had to get busy making hubby a card. This image reminded me of when we first met and we would sit on the beach like this and talk for hours, So I took out one of may favorite sets from Stampin Up Summer by the Sea, and made this for him. Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!!!!
A Close Up:
This card fits the following challenges:
Stamp Something Beachy Colors
Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge Anniversary

Paper from: DCWV- Linen Pack the tans are for the sand
Extras: Wild Orchid Craft Flowers, Dookhicky Die, Shell :( my last one, pearls, charm, twine, Sizzix Top Note Die Cut

Creative Inspirations # 60 DT Post
This week it is Suzi's turn to pick a challenge and she decided for us to follow a "No Cook Recipe". This recipe is for a cupcake so we must include a Cupcake on our card/project, ribbon or lace, 2 flowers and pearls. Our sponsor for this week is Robyns Fetish where one lucky winner may choose 5 digi stamps or 4 digi stamps and a paper pack.
So why not join in on the fun and see if you can be our lucky winner, and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design teams blogs for some inspiration, they would love to hear from you.
For my recipe, I decided to use this adorable image called "Ava Cupcake" from Bugaboo Digi Stamps which can be found here I think she fits this challenge perfectly. I also had to add one more flower, sorry, I never follow recipes to a "T".. it's always a little of this and a little of that...lol So anyway, here is my take on this week's no cook cupcake recipe...Hope you like it
Image: Ava Cupcake
Extras: Ribbon, Pearls, Flowers, Doohickey die
Image colored with copics
Paper: All paper Basic Grey-Sultry
As always thanks for stopping by.

Here Comes Summer - Part 2 of the GD call at Mo's
As the days get warmer, and we approach the long hot days of summer. I love to watch my community come alive. As some of you know, I live in a beach communtiy and have a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. At this time of year, we always say Rockaway comes alive as people come out of hiding and walk along the boardwalk, play ball, read a good book, or just take a leisurely walk in the sand as the waves come crashing in. I love the beach at this time of year, it is so peaceful, no crowds it's like you have the whole beach to yourself and I immedatley thought of this adorable image from Maurice Manning. I often see little boys and there dogs play along the shore not only looking for shells but for anything else that the surf has washed up. Something I did when my boys were young, Oh how I miss those days.
This card was done for round 2 of the guest designer call over at Mo's Digital Pencil. Last week I did a monochromatic card, and this week the theme is Here Comes Summer. Nothing says summer like a day at the beach. So here is my take on the challenge.
This fits the following challenge(s)
Mo's Digital Pencil Here Comes Summer-GD Part 2
Everybody Art Challenge Flowers
Hope you like it.

Paper: DCWV-Linen Closet
Extras: Martha Stewart Border Punch
Image Colored with Copics: Shorts/Stripes on Shirt: BG10,11,13,15, Skin: E11,01,00, Dog:
As always, thanks for stopping by my little part of the world, hope you like what you see and come back and visit again. Your comments mean so much I would love hearing from you

Creative Inspirations DT Card Challenge #59
Before I say anything about this weeks challenge over at Creative Inspirations, I'd like to wish all my blogging buddies a Happy Mother's Day!!! Hope you all enjoy the day.. now onto the challenge
This week over at Creative Inspirations it's Bea's turn to host the challenge, and she chose Glitz & Bling.... Well what girl doesn't love Glitz & Bling. Our sponsers this week are Simon Says
and Joanna Sheen where you can win a L10 voucher
My girlfriend sent my this "CUTE" Sticker all the way from Arizona, and I love it!!! Thanks, Kris.. the color is such a beautiful turquoise/blue and I knew immediately what I wanted to do, but of course, nothing turns out the way you first invisioned it. I originally wanted to place the word "CUTE" along the bottom as I did for the one that had the word Baby on the bottom. Although I did this card 6x6, it still didn't fit on the bottom, I tried going down with two letters on the top and two letters on the bottom, but it was too blank on the right and nothing quite fit in that blank spot. So I finally broke the word up and left it as is.
This adorable image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called "I Love It". I think this little tot is just so adorable holding his train set. Reminds me of when my son was little and never went anywhere without a car in his hands or in one of his pockets.
So why not play along and join in on the fun, and visit our other DT members for some inspiration, they would love hearing from you as would I. So after all that, Here is my card for Glitz & Bling
Image: Mo's Digital-I Love It
Paper: Designer Paper - Sorry, it's a big mystery and Basic Black
Extras: Sticker for the word "CUTE", Doohickey Die, Nestibilities,
Image Colored with Copics: Skin: E11,02,00, Hair/Trains: E47,44,43,41,40 Clothes:

Fans Lucky Cricket
I love Mo's creations, and this little asian beauty was no exception. As soon as I saw saw her, it was a must have. This weeks challenge is monochromatic, For me, kind of hard, I thought and thought about what I could do, and then it hit me. I couldn't get home from work quick enough to put thought to paper...lol Once again I paper pieced the digi (her top) by first printing her out on computer paper and then taping the design paper over it putting it back in the printer and reprinting it
So with all that said and done, this is my take on the Monochrome theme over at Mo's.
This fits the following challenges:
Mo's Digital Pencil Monochromatic and Guest DT call
Alphabet Challenge A=Around the World
Cute Card Thursday I Like Chocolate - color theme
By the Cute and Girly Anything Goes
Image: Fan's Cricket
Paper: DCWV-Linen Pack
Extras: SU Crochet Trim Victgoria, Wild Orchid Craft Flowers, Doohickey Die Cut
Copics Used: Skin: E11,02,01, Pants/Hair: E47,44,43,41,40 Shoes/Cage/Bow: I used my Prisma Pencils: Gold and Green
As Always, thanks so much for stopping by my little blog, hope you like what you see.
