It's a Blizzard

Well it's a White on White Blizzard over at Sassy Cheryl's this week challenge and I decided to use this Flat Bottom Snowy again, before he's forgotten about until next year. I think he is just so cute and you can find him HERE. So here is my take on this week's It's a Blizzard. A word I don't want to hear in the forecast espeacially after getting snowed in last year on the day after Christmas and New York came to a stand still for the first time in years, and I had tickets on the 27th to see a show, and in New York, the City never sleeps. And speaking of shows, I am Broadway bound again or I should say off-broadway bound to see Rent tomorrow for a matinee...

Ok enough of that...here is my take on the White on White Blizzard challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's hope you like it, and I hope it's OK since there is a touch of color...

I don't sew, so I didn't have any fabric in the house... so I was at my wits end trying to think of what to do... and then I remembered I had these fabric covered brads, now here's the kicker...Oh Where Oh where can they be...come on ladies when was the last time we used brads on a project and now that I found them, I had to match paper to the brads, so I found this old paper pad from My Minds Eye... and this is my take on this weeks theme "The Fabric of Our Lives"....

Birthday Tag Book Mo's DT Post # 112

It still Dorcas' turn to be our hostess and she thought it would be a good idea for us to use Banners or Tags on our card or project. Well since I love to dabble in all types of paper projects and I've been dying to use this Pocket Page & Tag Die for my Big Shot Pro, I decided to drag it out and make a Birthday Book. I did the calendars on the computer and did a tag for each month so on one side of the tag will be the dates for birthdays that are from the 1st throught the 15th and on the back of the tag will be the dates for birthdays for the 16 thorugh the 30th or 31st. Just write who's birthday it is on the line provided.

I used Bella Carrying The and the Cake which you can find HERE and HERE My Minds Eye Paper since you need double sided paper for this project flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which you can find HERE and the ribbon and lace from The Ribbon Girl which you can find HERE

Here is a picture of the Birthday Book:

The book with one of the tags pulled out of the pocket:

Warm winter Wishes - Sassy Cheryl #92

This week at Sassy Cheryl the theme is Winter. I thought this adorable flat bottom snowman would fit the bill for the winter theme and you can find him HERE

As I mentioned, I have tons of December birthdays, so I thought I would use this adorable snowman for my niece Gina’s Birthday who’s birthday is on the 6th, I have another nieces birthday on the 26th of this month. Told you I have tons of birthdays this month, and still have a few more birthdays to go. I also followed this beautiful sketch at Papertake Weekly which you can find HERE

I used this beautiful paper that I found at Michaels from Reflections which to me is very warm and rich, and because it has kraft undertones, I decided to give coloring on kraft paper a try and with the help of my DT buddy Dorcas and her wonderful tutorial here is my first attempt at coloring on kraft paper.

Well It's now Dorca's turn to be our hostess for the mostess and it's the Great Outdoors for her. Now being a city girl myself that was a challenge all in itself. So I decided to play it safe and use this adorable little boy who is playing dectective and is outside looking for his cat that the dog chased up the tree, so not only did I merge ladies, I merged 3 images and flipped one as well!!! So, You can find Looking for Clues HERE It's All in the Accessories HERE and The Cat's in the Tree HERE

Not sure why, but he reminds me of a very young Inspector Jacques Clouseau so I started humming the Pink Panther Song...Dum, De Dum, De Dum, De Dum, De Dum, De Dum, De Dummmmmm, Did De Dum, De Dum. I love those movies and do own many of the DVD's, and laugh and laugh and laugh, and I even starting to talk like him. I just hope Kato doesn't jump out of the closet and scare the bejeeze out of me...lol anyway I am thinking of giving this to Steven, you know Looking for Clues...so he can look for his Christmas present...What do you think? after all he loved the Treasure Hunt card I gave him for his birthday.
